Students enrolled in internship or practicum in conjunction with their graduate or undergraduate degree plan can complete a supervised practical experience requirement for counseling thanks to PaRC. Goals involve 300-600 hours of volunteer work, without pay, in an addiction counseling environment from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. weekdays.

A paid, supervised internship can follow as a Chemical Dependency Fellowship, with learning about best practices in treating addictive diseases and disorders. A limited number of paid internships provide licensed interns the opportunity to experience training and supervised work experience that enable them to develop competence in treating substance use disorder while they fulfill the supervised work experience required for their license as a LCDC, LPC or LMFT.

A variety of events, CEUs and classes are offered throughout the year at PaRC. Our goal is to provide education on drug and alcohol addiction in our community, as well as information about the recovery process.

Licensed professionals can keep up-to-date thanks to PaRC. We provide 90 minutes of substance abuse CEUs at many of our Houston-area campuses, with varying monthly CEU lectures for Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors, among other professionals.

Lectures are given by PaRC physicians or staff as well as other licensed professionals in the Houston area.
