Recovery from addiction is an ongoing process that requires continued growth on your part. PaRC’s recovery bookstore, Carry the Message, is an onsite resource center and gift shop for patients, families and the general public.
Our recovery bookstore provides you and your family convenient access to recovery related books and other resources. Our inventory will help you become more grounded in your recovery and will enrich your personal development.
You will also find many recovery related gifts for yourself, family and friends. Finally, we stock personal hygiene and daily use items that you might need during your stay with us.
PaRC’s recovery bookstore carries resources for Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and Cocaine Anonymous. We also carry resources for many other 12-step programs such as Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous and more.
In addition to materials for your own development, PaRC’s recovery bookstore carries a selection of Al-Anon related materials for your family. Those resources provide your family members with insight into addiction and the dynamics of a family system and insight into their own recovery from the effects of your addiction. When you and your family all have a better understanding of the disease of addiction and the process involved in recovery, you will be more successful and so will your family.
In addition to 12-step materials, our recovery bookstore carries assorted biographies and stories of people who are on the same journey as you are. We also have many inspirational books, materials and gifts that will nourish your spiritual growth.
Our recovery bookstore carries a wide variety of recovery-related gifts, jewelry and apparel. You will find general recovery and 12-step gifts and in our recovery bookstore that you will find nowhere else in Houston.
