Steer Your Recovery in the Right Direction

The Houston Rodeo is for everyone, even those in recovery from alcohol or drug addiction. With careful planning, it can be possible to take in rodeo competitions, concerts and other attractions or events. Below are tips on how to enjoy the rodeo while protecting your sobriety.

  • Be sure to keep any outpatient appointments you have scheduled.
  • If you are worried about relapse, tell your support system so they can help you create a plan.

Bottom Line: Don’t Mess with Your Recovery

Alternatively, know that it’s okay to not attend the rodeo this year if it’s going to compromise your sobriety. Remember that no event, concert or show is worth relapse.
